Better than some Nepalese.

Some 43 Nepali women, who had gone to Saudi Arabia to work as domestic helps, have been stranded in Riyadh for almost ten months, Kantipur daily reported.

The women have been taking refuge at the Nepali embassy in Riyadh. They have not been able to return home due to lack of permission from the Saudi Arabian government and return tickets.

The women who have come to the embassy for support include those who were fired, denied salary by their employers, thrown out from the place of work, and subjected to overwork and torture, according to Khadga Prasad Dahal, first secretary and spokesperson of the Nepali embassy in Riyadh.
